They say it takes a village to raise a child. At Complete Care Hospital for Pets, we believe this same concept of community applies to our animal companions as well.
We are a full service, mixed animal clinic serving the people and animals of Lake Echo, Porters Lake and beyond. Our mission is to deliver the most precise and effective care possible at each and every appointment – whether in our clinic or via our house call service.
For some, this may mean a complete ‘nose to tail’ workup. For others, it may require a more basic, budget-conscious solution. We’ll work with you to create a customized health care plan that everyone can feel comfortable with.

That’s why we’ll always take the time to answer your questions, discuss your concerns, educate you on your options and help you make the best decisions for you and your family. After all….we are a village!
We are proud to be locally owned and operated, and are honored to be a part of the Lake Echo & Porters Lake community. If you are in the market for a new vet, we hope you’ll consider us! Following the COVID-19 restrictions in Nova Scotia and effective June 5th, 2023, we will be further lifting restrictions. Masking is still encouraged but will not be required to enter the exam room with your pet. Our new waiting room is much larger and will allow for better distancing and airflow. We will be happy to offer curbside service to those who still prefer that option. Click here for further details.
As pet parents, we want our animal companions to live as many happy, healthy years as possible. At Complete Care Hospital for Pets, we believe the best way to accomplish this is by making a commitment to ongoing wellness care.
Is bad breath making it difficult to get close to your pet? Contrary to popular belief, foul breath isn’t something that pet parents must simply learn to live with. In fact, it’s likely a sign that your pet needs to visit the dentist.
When people don’t feel well, they visit the doctor, explain their symptoms and receive the appropriate care. With pets, however, it’s not always this straightforward. Because animals can’t speak, they can’t always let us know when something is bothering them.
At Complete Care Hospital for Pets, we recognize that animal companions come in all shapes, sizes and species. In addition to treating small household pets, we also provide comprehensive veterinary services to large animals and livestock.
